Experience With a ZWave Paddle Switch
I had a ZWave battery powered paddle switch for my living room lights. From day 1 it presented issues (slow response times, disconnecting, etc). Eventually it stopped working altogether.
I finally replaced it with a less good looking zigbee button. The zigbee button works flawlessly and its response time is super fast.
Not sure if it's fair, but I'm now loyal to the Zigbee protocol. Been running mild Home Assistant stuff for years and the Zigbee gear always works without protest.
